The big band Red Hot from Antigua and Barbuda, which once featured the deceased songtress Onika Bostic, has now taken under its wings another artiste of the T&T soil. Born in Trinidad, Saffire believes that her heart is dedicated to her music. Her performances include soca, hip-hop, R&B and dancehall, which captivate crowds with her unique flavour. For the past month Saffire has been seen with the likes of Oungku Edwards better known as Oungku of Red Hot, blazing the Carnival trail all over the twin isle of that country. Notably, the band's 2009 album Katastrophic that included hits such as No Dunn and Katastrophic and sung by Saffire were written, arranged and produced by Oungku. “This has been an amazing experience for me,” says Saffire. It's for me a total honour to be part of the RED HOT family and work alongside a musical genius like Oungku. I am totally consumed by inspiration for his dedication to his craft. “I am on a humble journey to success and as I continue to travel I am learning. I am very grateful to the creator for my blessings and also grateful to those who are my biggest supporters and to those who have paved the way for me. In addition to singing with the band, Saffire can also be seen in several television commercials that are being aired in United States. She is also presently deeply involved in modelling as she models for various agencies. To know more about her check out her Facebook Page or the band’s website.
